AIRPORTS / ATC Passenger traffic at Moroccan airports up by 0.31% in H1 2016

 

Moroccan Airports registered a 0.31% increase in passenger traffic during the first half of 2016, recording 8,289,475 passengers compared to the same period of 2015.
Mohammed V International Airport recorded 3,832,548 passengers (+2.33%), Rabat- Salé International Airport recorded 409,077 passengers (+25.04%) and Tangier Ibn Battouta International Airport recorded 359,719 passengers (+9.35%).
During the first half of 2016, aircraft movements at Moroccan airports totaled 74,793 movements, up 1.31% compared to the same period of 2015.
Freight volumes during the first six months at Moroccan airports increased by 11.55% over the same period of 2015 reaching 34,689.13 tons; against 31,096.76 tons in H1 2015.

This year, Morocco is making $ 5.8 billion in revenue and remains the leader of tourism in Africa.

Revenues that make it possible to finish the year number 1 of the ranking of the most tourist countries of the African continent.

Named the seventh destination to be visited in 2017 by National Geographic and third destination to be discovered according to Trip Advisor,

Specially Marrakech the Moroccan city is highly acclaimed. It is considered one of the best tourist destinations in the world.

 With 52 hotel projects running, Morocco hopes to confirm its status as African leader next year.
